Tom Murphy was elected to the office in 2000 and is serving a four-year term. Tom is the administrator and director of the Recorder of Deeds Office and is responsible for handling the budget, scheduling and making all executive decisions.

Kay L. Middleby assists the Recorder of Deeds with a wide variety of administrative duties, including ordering supplies, paying bills, maintaining employee records, document recording, mail distribution and general troubleshooting.

M. Elaine Grace shares responsibility for the office's administrative duties. Her tasks include recording the daily balance, generating checks and monthly reports as well as reconciling bank accounts.

Mary K. Grippo serves as the Recorder of Deeds Office's "Troubleshooter." She assigns daily work to the staff and helps to resolve questions and problems as they arise. She also records documents and shares responsibility for the numerous administrative functions required by the office.
